10 signs you are in a toxic workplace and it's time to take a healthy exit

10 Signs Of A Negative Work Environment:

1. A bad boss

No matter how big or how good the company may be if your boss is a narcissist or doesn't care about your work-life balance, it's time to search for a better workplace.

2. No credit for good work

If your manager takes all the credit for your good work and there is no self-happiness derived even after working sincerely, you are in the wrong fit.

3. Salary delays

You work for a salary and that's the only rule.

If you and your team have to discuss why salary is not yet transferred on every salary day, it's certainly not worth it.

4. More than 1 person taking reporting

When more than 1 person thinks they can allot more work to you apart from your pre-decided KRAs, it's time.

5. "Figure it out" on your own approach

If your manager or the firm does not provide any support and learning to you when you get stuck, it's time to say "Good Bye"

6. Ambiguous performance rating

After working hard, if every time your PMS turns out to be disappointing, understand that you are being taken for granted.

7. If you have been in the same spot for 3 or more years

If you have been in the same work designation and pay for 3 years or more, there is a high chance that you are getting stagnant in your career and it's time to say "Bye-Bye"

8. Your boss expects you to reply to emails, and messages on weekends/after work hours

Work-life balance is a myth, especially in small to medium-sized firms. They have high expectations from employees and working on weekends is one such expectation. It will lead to massive burn-out and the end of your emotional stability so understand the sign and it's time to start searching for a new option.

9. If leaving office on time is considered a crime

Not all work at the office can ever be ended in one day.

After a productive day of work, if leaving the office seems like a crime, you are certainly in a toxic environment and start looking for firms with better work ethics

10. With every passing month, your work seems to expand and become overwhelming

If your work is increasing on the same salary structure and you feel answerable for almost all the work visible in the office, certainly you are being exploited and it's time.

These traits are not only toxic but they are damaging your personal growth in the long run.

Such firms drain you to the core damaging your personal relationships and peace of mind and body.

Some quick tips:

- Be active on LinkedIn and keep looking for good opportunities

-Network and keep your doors open

- Be aware of your KRAs and learn to say NO to the work that doesn't belong to you.

- Last but not least, focus on your family life, mental and physical health together with your office responsibilities. The day you fall sick, your firm will find a replacement but your family will suffer each day with you.

All The Best ...!!
