2. Start your day with half an hour dedicated to personal health/mental health

It may sound vague to you but for being self-motivated at work and completing your tasks with a bang it is important that your start of the day is not controlled by SNOOZE button on your phone. Self-kick your day with yoga, meditation, 20 minutes nature walk and give your work goals a fresh start of the day.

3. Know your strengths and align your work towards your strength areas

It is not only our organization's task to allot us work profile, as an employee dedicating whole day at work, you have the right to channelize your work profile towards your strength areas. Talk to your manager, you can also discuss with HR and shift your work profile slightly to increase work productivity and engagement on the job.

For example- If I complete my weekly tasks without any compliant mail from clients, I buy myself a T-Shirt by end of that week. This way, I derive pleasure from self-reward system. 

5. Create a strong lobby of good people around you:

Sometimes, self-motivation comes when people around you are motivated, confident and progressive. Humans are social beings, we gain a lot when we perform in groups. Be a solo player but also nurture a strong team around you so that there is a collaborative encouragement when needed.


Overall, self-motivation provides a pathway to success. It takes us to a stage where our inner voice dominates the outer world situations making us contended and happy in what we are doing.
